5 Ways to Help Your Senior Loved One Enjoy the Outdoors This Spring

Officially, the first day of spring is March 20th but you plan a few things to ensure your senior loved one gets to enjoy the beautiful season. Everyone waits for winter to be over and your elderly loved ones are no exception. As the weather warms up, you have the perfect excuse to get your senior outdoors. The Sun, fresh air, and improving mood is an excellent opportunity for your senior to be more active.

Here are a few spring activities to do with your loved one.

Exercise

There are plenty of ways to be active and get some exercise in the fresh Spring air. Take your elderly loved one out for a walk. If they can’t walk, seek a wheelchair-friendly path. Even sitting out of the house in the fresh air is good. If your senior loved one is more mobile, yoga or bicycling are great activities to foster overall well-being.
